Movie Review - Transformers

I just got back (literally) from watching the Transformers movie. And I must say that it was pretty good. The Autobots and Decepticons looked very realistic and there was plenty of good action for the action aficionado. I'm glad I went to go see it! (I actually brought my 8-yr-old girl and 10-yr-old boy to see the movie at 11:25 pm. I just hope that I don't have to explain some of the language yet... :)

Looks like there won't be too much latency when accessing second life... or Hooray for 150mbps downloads (in a couple of years)

I just saw this article ("Comcast CEO shows off 150 megabits per second download on next-gen modem") on the MIT Technology Review website from AP and must say that I am pretty impressed. But then I think again and say to myself, "Well, what do you expect?" Comcast and the other cable providers are not about to let the Verizon beat them at their own game.

I definitely like what Comcast Corp. Chief Executive Brian Roberts said: "What consumers actually do with all this speed is up to the imagination of the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.'' It's good to see that he recognizes who is really driving this!

So what would you do with greater bandwidth?

Movie Review: Grindhouse, Planet Terror & Death Proof

I have to give it to Quentin Tarantino and Rodriguez (forgot his first name) for really breaking the mold. Planet Terror was a great gorey movie (so if you don't like to see, do NOT go see this movie). Very unrealistic, but funny...

As far as Death Proof is concerned, it was a bit slow until the end. It was worth the wait...

I won't spoil so I won't go into too many details, but if you like Tarantino movies, you'll like these two. Just be prepared to be in the theater for 3+ hours.

BTW, the pseudo previews were also good and funny, especially Thanksgiving and Machete.

300 - The Movie Review or In a word: awesome!

First of all, what are you doing here reading this blog post. The title already says it all: Awesome! I really enoyed the movie. The build up was good and the fight scenes were great! And for what its worth for the ladies (or other male admirers), my wife said that the guys were hot, especially the king. Speaking of which the queen is a looker herself, but unfortunately there not enough women to look at... but anyways the movie was excellent, I just wish the king would have... (I won't spoil it! ;-)

I hope they come out with a 10000 movie... watch it and understand...

Let me know what you think.
